IMG-20160112-WA0012.jpgAccording to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) signed by about 172 nations in September last year, climate action is the number thirteen (13) of the seventeen (17) goals signed at the UN summit. “Climate change is happening now, global temperatures are already on the rise, impacting us all, especially the world’s most vulnerable people. We have to come together and slash carbon pollution – before it’s too late”.

The Space Club of the Federal University of Technology Akure, in Conjunction with the ENACTUS FUTA team will on January 15th, 2016 be holding a global event titled “Earth Day: Climate Action” aimed at promoting Climate Change awareness and exhibiting products and Inventions mitigating Climate Change.

According to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, “Collective action remains the only viable option to addressing the challenges of global warming and the ever growing impact of climate change. We have no other choice but to protect our environment for the benefit of the present and future generations. Collectively, we have to work towards achieving these all important objective.”
